According to President William Ruto, Kenya will give South Sudan land to be used for the construction of a dry port in Mombasa.
Ruto revealed it on Saturday following a one-on-one meeting with his host Salva Kiir in Juba.
He claimed that doing business between people of the two countries will be less expensive as a result.
Ruto is traveling to the nation on official business, and Kipchumba Murkomen, the cabinet secretary for roads and infrastructure, is with him.
The Head of State gave the nation’s traders the assurance that Kenya will make it as inexpensive as possible for commodities to be transported from the port of Mombasa to South Sudan.
The three ports of Mombasa, Nairobi, and Naivasha are available for the traders to select from, he claimed.
South Sudanese traders have the freedom to select the most practical location to pick up their goods, according to Ruto.
Kiir congratulated Ruto for reducing the barriers that South Sudanese traders had to overcome in order to clear their goods.
The South Sudanese people are grateful to Kenya for letting their traders pick where to clear their goods without any limitations, Kiir stated.
