Somali Magazine-Newcastle United defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the third round of the English Football League Cup on Wednesday.
Alexander Isak, a Swedish forward for Newcastle, scored the game-winning goal in the 53rd minute at St. James’ Park.
Manchester City missed out on winning their first League Cup since 2021.
Newcastle United has twice reached the final, although they have yet to win their first trophy.
The EFL Cup is an annual knockout competition in men’s domestic football between the top four levels of the English Football League system: the Premier League, Championship, League One, and League Two.
