In an AFC Champions League encounter Tuesday in Tehran, Al-Hilal defeated Iran’s Nassaji Mazandaran 3-0 thanks to Brazilian football sensation Neymar’s debut goal.

In the 18th minute, Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the game’s first goal at Azadi Stadium.

Former PSG striker Neymar scored with his left foot in the 58th minute for his first Al-Hilal goal in five games.

Saleh Al-Shehri, who came on late in the game, scored the third goal of the night.

The teams played with 10 men for the majority of the game after Saudi skipper Salman Al-Faraj and home team’s Amir Houshmand were sent out for violent conduct in the 38th minute.

Al-Hilal, the Asian Champions League’s all-time leader, has four points in two games to lead Group D. Navbahor of Uzbekistan is second with four points.

Nassaji Mazandaran currently has three points. Mumbai City of India have lost both of their games and are at the bottom of their group.
