Following the passing of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, left for Kuwait on a condolence visit, bringing with him the deepest sympathies of the people and Federal Government of Somalia.
President Mohamud conveyed the condolences of the Somali people to Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, during their meeting. The visit is a part of a larger show of support for Kuwait in this time of grief.
During his conversations with the Prime Minister and the Council of Emirs during the condolence ceremony, the President—one of several Arab leaders present—expressed his sympathies for the late Emir.
