According to Tuesday’s French media reports, Lionel Messi has been suspended by Paris Saint-Germain for two weeks without pay for an unapproved travel to Saudi Arabia.

According to the L’Equipe daily, the Argentine superstar won’t be paid while on suspension and won’t be able to play or train.

Both the May 7 game against Troyes and the May 13 game against Ajaccio will be without Messi.

In 37 games this season, the 35-year-old scored 20 goals and provided 19 assists.

By overcoming the 2018 World Cup champions France 4-2 on penalties in Qatar, Messi led Argentina to the 2022 World Cup victory.
