Puntland military court has released 14 men suspected of being members of Al-Shabaab, they have been detained for several months in connection with a series of bombings and killings in Galkayo.
The chairman of the first level court of the armed forces in Puntland, Lieutenant Colonel Abdirahman Warsame Jama, announced that all the accused had been released after the court founding them not guilty.
The released detainees told the media that they were very happy that their freedom had been restored, saying that they had been treated well during their detention.
Puntland recently sentenced eight young men to death for being members of an al-Shabaab network that carried out bombings and assassinations in south Galkayo.
