    Russia has stopped delivering natural gas to Finland.

    Due to a lack of payment, Russia has halted natural gas deliveries to Finland’s Gasum, according to Gazprom.

    According to a written statement from the company, Finland had to pay in rubles for natural gas deliveries starting in April, and supply to Gasum and Finland were totally halted on Saturday since the payments had not been paid.

    Last year, Gazprom provided 70 percent of Finland’s natural gas consumption.

    The Finnish company announced on Friday that the gas supply will be cut off on Saturday, but that it is prepared for the circumstance.

    Last week, RAO, another Russian energy company, halted exporting electricity to Finland for the same reason.
