Senegalese forward Sadio Mane has left German superpower Bayern Munich to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, the club confirmed on Tuesday.

Mane, who will join Bayern Munich from Liverpool in 2022, has been a key member of the Reds, helping them win one UEFA Champions League, one UEFA Super Cup, and one FIFA Club World Cup.

The 31-year-old player was instrumental in the club’s long-awaited Premier League championship in 2020.

Mane was also voted African Footballer of the Year in 2019 after helping Senegal win the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

Al-Nassr signed Brazilian left-back Alex Telles from Manchester United, Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan, and Ivorian midfielder Seko Fofana from France’s Lens this summer, in addition to Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined the club in January.
