    SOMALIA RAISES CONCERNS ABOUT REGIONAL STABILITY AT EU INDO-PACIFIC MINISTERIAL FORUM

    Somali Magaine – H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, Acting Foreign Minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, attended the 3rd EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum on Friday (February 2) in Brussels, Belgium.

    During his remarks at the event, the Acting Foreign Minister emphasised Somalia’s solid commitment to tackling global concerns in collaboration with EU Indo-Pacific allies. He emphasised Somalia’s proactive efforts to strengthen climatic, environmental, political, economic, and societal resilience while supporting security and stability in compliance with international law and UN Charter values.

    Acting Foreign Minister Ali Omar emphasised Ethiopia’s need to follow international law and protect Somalia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, encouraging Addis Abeba to play a constructive role in addressing regional concerns rather than escalating tensions in East Africa.
