H.E Ali Omar Balcad, State Minister and Acting Minister of Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Wamkele Mene, Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), on the sidelines of the 37th session of the African Union.
The discussion highlighted the relevance of free trade for various enterprises in the Federal Republic of Somalia and all African countries, as well as the necessity to raise free trade problems and ensure Somalia’s membership in Africa’s free trade market.
Minister Ali Balcad stated that Somalia is currently ready to adapt to the modern world, particularly the integration of African businesses, and that it is making significant efforts to foster business links between Somalia and other countries.
