According to local medics on Saturday, the dead toll from tribal violence in Sudan’s West Darfur region has grown to 35.

The Committee of Doctors in West Darfur announced in a statement that 19 more people had died as a result of the violence in West Darfur’s Jebel Moon Mountains, bringing the total to 35 since last week.

The fights also injured twenty-one people, according to medics.

Hundreds of individuals have been slain in periodic tribal confrontations in West Darfur’s Jebel Moon Mountains since November last year.
