Somali Magazine – Daud Awies Jama, the Federal Government of Somalia’s Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, attended the burial and condolences at Zanzibar Island on behalf of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud for Tanzania’s former President, Al Hajji Ali Hassan Mwingi.
Honorable Mwingi was Tanzania’s second president from 1985 to 1995 and died on February 29, 2024.
The Minister conveyed President Mohamud’s condolences to the government, people, and, in particular, the former president’s family.
“Representing President Hassan Sheikh, I attended the burial and condolence gathering for Tanzania’s late second president, Al Haji Ali Hassan Mwinyi, who died on Thursday. Minister Aweis said he communicated President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s condolences to President Samia S. Hassan and the Tanzanian people.
