On Thursday, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud finished his tour to the South West State and flew to Dhusamareb, the regional seat of Galmudug, 510 kilometers north of Mogadishu.
A group of legislators arrived in Dhusamareb, where security has been beefed up, to set the basis for the President’s arrival.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud called his visit as part of a “peace train” organized by his administration to promote peace and reconciliation among Somalis ahead of his inauguration next week.
Mohamud is due to meet with the Galmudug administration and members of several social groups.
