    The second hearing of the corruption case against four government officials has begun at Banadir Regional Court.

    Today, the Banadir Regional Court began the second hearing in a case of corruption and embezzlement against four Somali Immigration and Naturalisation Agency workers.

    Abdulahi Mohamud Osoble, Omar Maalim Noor, Sabir Hassan Abdinur, and Adan Mohamed Abdi are the four defendants presented before the regional court. They are all accused of theft of public property and were accused by authorities while they were part of the Somali immigration agency.

    The Attorney General has presented before the court 18 government officials who have been accused of corruption and stealing.

    President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has already stated that he will never condone corruption of the nation’s riches and that the government is accountable for safeguarding it.
