Somali Magazine September 06 2023 -The inaugural Somalia-Ethiopia Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) meeting began on Tuesday in Mogadishu, and will run through September 7 to improve mechanisms for political, economic, and social cooperation.
At the meeting, Hamza Adan Haadoow, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, stated that Somalia is seeking to strengthen connections with its neighbour Ethiopia in order to reap mutual benefit on all levels.
H.E. Amb. Fisseha Shawl, Director General of African Affairs at the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated in his remarks that the meeting will serve as a strong springboard for enhancing bilateral ties in all sectors and exploring a wide range of areas of cooperation, expressing that the relationship between the two countries is a brotherly forged by blood.
