Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz and Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek arrived in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday for a one-day business visit ahead of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s planned trip to the Gulf Kingdom.

UAE Minister of Justice Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi and Turkish Ambassador to the UAE Tugay Tuncer, among others, met Yilmaz and Simsek at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

They are expected to attend a series of delegation meetings before meeting with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Vice President, will also attend the conference, which will focus on exploring prospects for economic collaboration between the two nations.

Erdogan met with his Emirati counterpart in Istanbul on June 10 for discussions.

Al Nahyan was among the international leaders who congratulated Erdogan on his reelection on May 28 after visiting Turkey to see the UEFA Champions League final.
