The winning team at the TotalEnergies AFCON Côte d’Ivoire 2023 will now receive a whopping USD 7,000,000. This large increase intends to boost the tournament’s prominence and motivate top-tier performances on the African football field.

The TotalEnergies AFCON Côte d’Ivoire 2023 runner-up will not go home empty-handed, as their prize money has increased to USD 4,000,000. CAF’s decision underscores the organization’s dedication to recognizing and awarding performance throughout the competition.

Furthermore, the stakes for the semi-finalists have increased, with each team now receiving USD 2,500,000. The four quarter-finalists will also get an additional award, at USD 1,300,000 each.

CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe expressed his appreciation for the great strides made in the last two years in increasing prize money across all CAF events.

Speaking of the AFCON Winner’s Prize, which has been increased by 40% to USD 7,000,000, he stated that the increase demonstrates CAF’s commitment to encouraging football growth.

Dr. Motsepe is certain that a share of the Prize Money will be used to advance football infrastructure and benefit all stakeholders involved, especially Member Associations.
