    46 dead after Indonesia earthquake

    According to local media, the dead toll following an earthquake in Indonesia has increased to 46.

    According to Kompas TV, the 5.6 magnitude earthquake that struck the country of Southeast Asia on Monday also left over 700 people injured.

    Around 12:21 PM, a powerful earthquake struck West Java’s Cianjur Regency (0621GMT.)

    According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, it was felt in the capital Jakarta as well as other areas like Rancaekek, South Tangerang, and Depok.

    The number of fatalities was predicted to rise earlier by authorities with the Indonesian Disaster Agency.
