Somali Magazine – A young French woman who was on vacation in Turkey’s Tekirdag province converted to Islam on Friday.
Elodle Moreno, 24, was inspired by her companion and began researching Islam.
She submitted an application to the local mufti after deciding to convert to Islam.
At the conversion ceremony, Mufti Ismail Ipek provided information about the fundamentals of Islam.
Elodle was called “Sibel” after reciting the kalima shahadah, which is a profession of faith in the unity of Allah and acceptance of Prophet Muhammad as His messenger.
Sibel received a “conversion certificate,” the Quran, the holy book of Muslims, and several books on Islam from Ipek.
