Libya rejected Egypt’s Dec. 11 decision to draw maritime border lines on Friday.
According to a statement from the foreign ministry, “This demarcation is unjust since it was unilaterally proclaimed, it undermines Libya’s territorial integrity, and it disregards the principles of good faith and respect for sovereignty.”
“The delimitation of the borders between the two countries must be agreed upon through discussions that safeguard the interests of both parties and adhere to the equality principle,” it continued.
