Mr. David Lammy, the recently appointed Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, received congratulations on Saturday from H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi Ahmed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. He also wished him sincere success in the duties entrusted to him.
Minister Ahmed Fiqi stated that he hoped to collaborate closely in order to strengthen the long-standing friendship between Somalia and the UK and to advance mutual interests in a number of sectors. He also emphasized the significance of deepening understanding and partnership in important areas in order to achieve these goals.
