    Ethiopia Announces Plan to Upgrade Addis Ababa’s Infrastructure and Landscape

    Ethiopia has unveiled a comprehensive plan to upgrade the infrastructure and landscape of its capital city, Addis Ababa. The project, known as the second-phase corridor development, aims to modernize the city and improve its transportation networks.

    Ethiopia’s Extensive Reconstruction

    Covering a total area of 2,879 hectares, the project involves the construction of 477 km of roads, including 240 km of asphalt roads and 237 km of pedestrian walkways. Additionally, more than 200 public recreational spaces and car parking centers will be established.

    Promoting Sustainable Transportation

    The project will introduce electric vehicle charging stations in 58 locations and create over 100 km of bike lanes to promote eco-friendly transportation options. This initiative aims to make Addis Ababa a model city with cutting-edge infrastructure and amenities.

    Enhancing Public Spaces in Ethiopia

    The corridor development also includes the construction of 17 sports centers to provide ample opportunities for citizens to engage in physical activities. These centers will cater to the needs of residents and promote a healthier lifestyle.
