The United Nations has issued a warning that the impact of an extraordinary drought impacting the country’s eastern and southern areas has been exacerbated by conflict in some parts of Ethiopia.

A report on the condition of acute food insecurity in nations where conflict and insecurity are the main causes of acute food insecurity is prepared twice a year by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Food Programme.

    • The report, which was released on Monday, gave a general overview of how violence and conflict in Ethiopia increased food insecurity between January and October 2022.
