Somali Magazine –According to the Turkish National Defense Ministry, three more ships have left Ukrainian ports under the Istanbul grain export agreement.
While one ship went from the port of Pivdennyi in Ukraine’s Yuzhne city, two ships set sail from the port of Odesa, according to the ministry.
The Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul will assess six ships, one of which is from Ukraine and others are on their way to the war-torn country, according to the statement.
On July 22, Turkey, the United Nations, Russia, and Ukraine struck an agreement in Istanbul to restore grain exports from the Ukrainian Black Sea ports of Yuzhny, Chornomorsk, and Odesa, which had been blocked owing to the Russia-Ukraine war, which is now in its seventh month.
To manage the shipments, a Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul has been established with officials from the three nations and the UN.
Since the first ship under the agreement left Ukraine on August 1, nearly 723,000 tonnes of Ukrainian grain have been transferred to global markets.
