Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni has accused outgoing President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo of not wanting elections in Somalia.
Said Deni made the announcement after the by-elections in Qardho, Eyl and Ufeyn districts.
“Farmajo and Villa Somalia have not spoken about the internationally acclaimed election and Villa Somalia has been publishing many articles in the past and this is proof that Farmajo does not want to elect a person and a voice as well as a federal government,” said Said. Deni President of Puntland.
However, following the announcement by Puntland President Deni, a statement from Villa Somalia stated that he had contacted the President.
The chairmen of the Puntland Political Parties who contested the general election congratulated them on their victory in the constituencies where the elections took place.
