The French embassy in Kenya noted that “in the context of impending religious holidays (particularly Easter and Ramadan), Kenyan police agencies are reporting an elevated terrorist danger throughout the month of April in Kenya.”
The embassy went on to say:
“It is consequently suggested that everyone in the country exercise utmost caution and avoid any gatherings during this time.”
During religious holidays, according to the UK embassy, there is a significant risk of terrorism.
“UK nationals are encouraged to use utmost caution during this time.”
All but essential travel has been cautioned against by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
