HirShabelle State of Somalia is currently planning to hold elections for the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia.
Final preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections are underway in the towns of Jowhar and Beledweyne.
According to reports, up to three seats will be up for grabs in HirShabelle in the coming days, with influential members vying for the three seats.
HirShabelle State Election Implementation Committee is also expected to announce in the coming hours the process of holding the Parliamentary elections and the approach to the parliamentary seats in Jowhar and Beledweyne.
Security has also been tightened, and in recent days security operations have been underway in the two towns with additional troops deployed.
HirShabelle had already concluded the Upper House election, which had its own excitement, as the race was transparent.
Parliamentary elections have officially begun, with some northern regions holding elections in Mogadishu.
