    Leaders of Turkey and Turkmen meet concurrently with the Awaza summit

    Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, and Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the president of Turkmenistan, met on Wednesday to talk about their bilateral relations and regional challenges.

    In the western Turkmen city of Awaza, the Presidents of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan met behind closed doors for their first summit.

    Regarding the meeting, no additional details have yet been made public.

    Erdogan also spoke with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the head of Turkmenistan’s upper house of parliament, the People’s Council.

    Later, outside of the summit, the Turkish president will meet with Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.
