As the Paris 2024 Olympics draw closer, excitement is building worldwide. The games, scheduled to run from July 26 to August 11, 2024, will feature around 10,500 athletes from 206 National Olympic Committees (NOCs). This year’s event promises to be a grand spectacle with new sports such as breaking (breakdancing) making their Olympic debut, alongside traditional favorites like athletics, swimming, and gymnastics.
Preparations for Paris 2024 Olympics
In preparation for the influx of visitors, Paris has launched various hospitality programs, offering packages that include event tickets, accommodation, transportation, and exclusive experiences throughout the city. The official mascot, Olympic Phryge, symbolizes freedom and the French Republic, adorned in the national colors of blue, white, and red.
Other upcoming Paris Events
In addition to the Olympics, Paris will host a variety of events this July. The Bastille Day celebrations on July 14 featured the iconic parade and fireworks at the Eiffel Tower, drawing large crowds. Paris Plages, the city’s temporary beaches along the Seine River and Canal Saint-Martin, offers a unique urban summer experience with sand, palm trees, and recreational activities.
