President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Sudan’s army chief on Tuesday that Turkey is ready to host comprehensive discussions for Sudan if all stakeholders agree.

Erdogan said in a phone chat with Abdel Fattah al-Burhan that Türkiye will continue its efforts in contact with the UN to ensure that the Sudanese people’s urgent humanitarian needs are satisfied, according to a statement from Türkiye’s Communications Directorate.

Erdogan also voiced grief and concern about the rising number of casualties in Sudan’s “fratricidal fight.”

According to the statement, the evacuation and security of Turkish citizens in Sudan were also considered.
