A senior delegation from the Puntland government traveled to the recently liberated town of Dhaadaar on Monday to meet with Puntland Defence Forces and evaluate the overall security and humanitarian situation in the area. The visit came shortly after security forces successfully regained control of the town from militant groups, marking an important step toward restoring stability in the region. The team was led by Interior Minister Abdi Farah Juxa and included State Minister of the Presidency Abdifatah Abdinur and the deputy minister of humanitarian affairs. Their mission was to assess how the troops were holding ground, understand the immediate needs of the community, and determine what measures were necessary to ensure that peace and normal life return to Dhaadaar.
During their visit, the officials held meetings with military commanders, local administrators, and community leaders who provided detailed briefings on the current situation on the ground.
