The Jubbaland State Military Court condemned Mohamed Abdullahi Said to death on Monday after finding him guilty of murdering Mohamed Nune Salah in October 2022, both of whom were members of regional army forces.
The Southwest State Court executed two soldiers, Mohamed Ali Abdi and Ismail Abdirahman, in Baidoa after they killed two men in separate incidents in Bur-hakaba and Baidoa towns. Military courts frequently prosecute Al-Shabaab terrorists as well as government or regional forces who commit heinous crimes.
