Ahmed Isse Gutale, Auditor General of the Federal Government of Somalia, stated on Monday that Somali embassies in Kenya, Turkey, and Germany were implicated in financial mismanagement linked to income obtained that was not included in the annual financial report in 2022.
He stated that the Office of the Auditor General discovered this while conducting an examination into financial management errors at our diplomatic posts.
“These embassies collected 1.9 million dollars in revenue that was not added to the Government’s financial report due to mismanagement,” Isse explained.
