    Somali Prime Minister Reshuffles Cabinet and Appoints New Ministers.

    MOGADISHU (SOMALI MAGAZINE). On Sunday, Somali Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre selected new cabinet members, including ministries for internal affairs, security, and international affairs.

    Prime Minister Hamse has selected Ahmed Moalim Fiqi as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Fiqi formerly served as the government’s minister of internal affairs.Ali Yusuf Ali Hoosh, a Lower House MP, has been named the federal government’s Minister of Internal Affairs.

    The security minister, General Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Faratag, and the minister of energy and water, Abdullahi Bidhan Warsame, have both been appointed.

    Prime Minister Hamse named Mohamed Adan Moalim as the Federal Government’s Minister of Posts and Communications, and Ahmed Omar Mohamed as Minister of State for Environment and Climate Change, respectively.

    These appointments came only a few days after the Somali Cabinet of Ministers reappointed Abdullahi Mohamed Ali Sanbaloolshe as the new Director of the National Security and Intelligence Agency of Somalia (NISA) at its weekly meeting in Mogadishu.

    Abdullahi Sanbaloolshe, the newly appointed Director, has previously served as Director of NISA twice and in other positions such as Minister and Ambassador.
