H.E. Mr. Abdisaid Muse Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, opened a diplomacy and protocol training course offered by the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry.
The Foreign Minister highlighted the relevance of such training for Somali diplomats, which aims to increase the Ministry’s efficiency and effectiveness in fulfilling Somalia’s foreign policy targets by improving their technical and administrative capabilities.
In addition, H.E. Mr. Mohamud Abdi Hassan (Pekos), the Deputy Minister of International Affairs and International Cooperation, emphasized the Institute’s significance in implementing Somalia’s foreign policies and asked the institute’s administration to continue providing tough courses for its diplomats.
During 100 ambassadors and government officials have benefited from various trainings and seminars over the last six months. The Institute will in the near future roll out new courses in partnership with other institutes and policy centres.
