In their 5th session, the Upper House of the Federal Parliament of the Republic of Somalia passed the first reading of the Auditor General’s bill.
The session was presided over by the chairman, Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, and his deputies.
His Excellency Abdikadir Elmi Hange, Deputy Minister of Finance, provided a full explanation of the Auditor General draught law and its significance.
At the close of the session, the Senate Chairman asked the members of the Finance Committee to work hard to fulfil their constitutional obligation in relation to this bill.
The Auditor General’s measure was adopted by the House of People last week with 135 votes.
