    The southwest China forest fire was extinguished after 100 hours.

    Local media reported on Sunday that Chinese firefighters had extinguished a major inferno that had raged through large swaths of the country’s southern woodlands during the previous several days.

    According to the state-run Xinhua news agency, the wildfire that had devoured a wide area of forestland in Yunnan province was successfully doused late Saturday after more than 100 hours of battling.

    According to the article, no deaths or injuries were reported as a result of the flames, according to the firefighting headquarters in Yuxi.

    The fire started on Tuesday in Jiuxi Town, Yuxi’s Jiangchuan District, and soon spread to surrounding areas.

    According to the news agency, more than 4,000 individuals helped fight the fire after local residents were evacuated to safety.
