    Turkey’s new name is 2022. FIFA World Cup qualification squad

    Turkiye unveiled their national football team for the FIFA World Cup playoffs in 2022 on Friday.

    The Turkish Football Federation has announced the 27-man squad that will face Portugal in the semifinal on March 24 under the direction of German head coach Stefan Kuntz.

    For the first time, Yunus Akgun, Dogukan Sinik, and Umut Bozok will get the opportunity to represent Turkiye.

    If Turkiye reach the playoff finals, they will face the winner of the match between Italy and North Macedonia for a chance to compete in the World Cup in Qatar.

    Matches in the semi-finals and finals will be played in a single-leg knockout format. The semifinals will take place on March 24, and the finals will take place on March 29.

    The dates for the 2022 World Cup have been announced for November 21 to December 18.

    Turkiye’s team consists of the following players:

    Altay Bayindir, Sinan Bolat, and Ugurcan Cakir are the goalkeepers.
