The Ukrainian parliament recently enacted legislation prohibiting the use of the Russian military emblems Z and V.

According to Ukraine’s Servant of the People party, a law voted by parliament’s lawmakers on April 1 designated Russia as a “terrorist country.”

One of the law’s authors, Nikita Poturayev, said that propaganda used in an act of aggression against Ukraine is entirely forbidden.

Z and V have been sighted on Russian tanks and armored vehicles during the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine, which began on February 24, has sparked international indignation, with the European Union, the United States, and the United Kingdom, among others, imposing harsh financial sanctions on Moscow.

According to UN estimates, at least 1,232 civilians have been killed and 1,935 have been injured in Ukraine.

More than 4 million Ukrainians have also fled to other countries, with millions more internally displaced, according to the UN refugee agency.
