    Zelenskyy imposes sanctions on Syria’s Assad

    Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy imposed sanctions on 141 businesses and 300 individuals, including Syria’s Bashar al Assad, on Saturday.

    The appropriate decree was made public on the government’s website.

    The sanctions, which primarily targeted Russian and Iranian persons and businesses, included asset freezing, trade restrictions, and the suspension of economic and financial responsibilities.
