On Monday, the Israeli Navy attacked central Gaza Strip locations along the Mediterranean shore, as well as residential areas in the city of Khan Yunis.
According to the Palestinian state-run WAFA news agency, dozens of rockets were fired from Israeli attack boats towards the city’s coastal districts.
There is no information yet on casualties, injuries, or property damage.
Early Saturday, the Palestinian Hamas group launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against Israel, firing a barrage of missiles and infiltrating Israel via land, air, and sea.
According to the statement, the surprise attack was carried out in retaliation to the takeover of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and rising Zionist aggression against Palestinians.
In response, Israel launched Operation Swords of Iron against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Gaza-based Health Ministry, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli troops in Gaza has grown to 704, including 143 children and 105 women. According to the report, the number of injured has grown to over 4,000.
According to the Israeli Health Ministry, at least 900 Israelis have been killed and over 2,600 have been injured in the fighting.
