The Somali National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) has supplied 500 tonnes of food to residents affected by the recent war in Las Anod, the capital of the Sool region.

The food distribution is part of the humanitarian activities carried out in Las Anod by SoDMA after conflicts between Somaliland and Las Anod erupted in the city.

The transnational administration in Khhaatuuno and the district administration in Las Anod have thanked SoDMA for the generous donation and invited other humanitarian organisations to do the same.

Thousands of people have been displaced as a result of the war in Las Anod, which has impacted the supply of basic services and livelihoods.
