Somali Magazine – Ministers and members of both Houses of Parliament from the Federal Republic of Somalia’s Awdal Region issued a warning against Ethiopia’s desire to invade the Somali Sea. The authorities expressed alarm about the Ethiopian government’s “evil desire” to take a chunk of Somalia’s land and water.
During the conference, the Minister and MPs praised the Federal Government of Somalia for its involvement in nullifying the Memorandum of Understanding between Ethiopia and the administration of Somaliland and preventing any incursion on Somali territory.
The Minister and MPs issued an appeal to all Somalis, particularly those in the Northern Regions, to join in defense of their land and sea. They also congratulated inhabitants of the Northern Regions for standing up to Ethiopia’s ambitions to capture areas of the Somali Sea.
