Mogadishu
The Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) informed the Somali people that Somali airspace has not altered and that the Federal Government is the only body that can issue clearance for planes in it.
Since Somalia gained independence in 1960, the airspace has been referred to as the Mogadishu Flight Information Region (FIR).
