After meeting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan tweeted in Turkish on Saturday.
“I had the pleasure of meeting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during my visit to Türkiye today,” wrote Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Turkish.
“We discussed ways to strengthen our two countries’ economic cooperation and strategic partnership, as well as ways to promote regional stability and a prosperous future for all,” he added.
Erdogan had already met with the UAE president in Istanbul.
There was no more information revealed about the closed-door meeting.
Al Nahyan, who is in Turkey for the UEFA Champions League final, was among the international leaders who congratulated Erdogan on his reelection on May 28.
