The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that its personnel have begun joint computer-assisted command staff exercises with their colleagues from Georgia and Turkey.

The drills will remain through Oct. 6, with the purpose of increasing coordination and strengthening collaboration among the three countries’ military services, according to a statement from the ministry.

During the exercises, which will include both theoretical and practical components, tasks will be completed to safeguard strategically vital and regional economic initiatives.
