Somali Magazine 6 September 2023-According to US media sources, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken landed in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv on an unannounced visit on Wednesday.
Blinken’s two-day visit is his fourth to the nation since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in February last year.
According to The Washington Post, he is likely to unveil more than $1 billion in fresh funds.
According to the source, Blinken arrived in Ukraine in the morning and spoke with diplomats and staff at the US Embassy in Kyiv.
Blinken will also meet with civil society organisations to discuss anti-corruption initiatives, as well as participate in a wreath-laying ceremony with his Ukrainian colleague, Dmytro Kuleba.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian news outlet RBC-Ukraine claimed that traffic in Kyiv has been largely halted since the morning, citing a procedural need for international leaders or groups visiting the capital.
