    Continual religious ties bind Pakistan and Somalia: NA Speaker

    – On Friday, a legislative delegation from Somalia led by Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation Ahmed Moalim Figi paid Raja Pervaiz Ashraf a visit at the Parliament House.

    Other significant problems, like the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Somalia, were highlighted.

    Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Speaker of the National Assembly, stated that there is a strong bond between the people of Pakistan and Somalia due to their shared religious beliefs and sense of brotherhood.

    He claimed that Pakistan places a high value on its friendly ties with Somalia.

    Somalians were exceedingly diligent workers. According to the Speaker of the National Assembly, citizens in both Pakistan and Somalia had to deal with challenging circumstances, and both countries’ issues were shared.

    Pakistan has seen one of the worst flood disasters in history, which have wreaked massive destruction. In this challenging scenario, the people of Pakistan have demonstrated their ability to work together. He stressed the significance of Pakistan’s desire to promote commerce and other forms of cooperation with Somalia.

    He asserted that there should be an interchange of legislative delegations between the two nations. The Speaker added that by exchanging legislators, lawmakers from the two nations might learn from one another’s experiences.

    Ahmed Moalim Fagi Ahmed, the interior, federal affairs, and reconciliation minister for Somalia, praised the Pakistani government and people for their hospitality in hosting his group.

    According to him, Somalia appreciates its friendship with Pakistan. According to Somalia’s Minister Ahmed Moalim Figi, parliamentary contacts can be developed in a way that will help bring lawmakers and citizens of the two nations closer together.
