Dr. Abdisamad Sheikh Yusuf Mohamud, a Somali native, began his educational journey at Plasma University, earning a Bachelor’s degree from 2009 to 2012. Furthering his studies at Kampala University, he obtained a Master’s in Public Health in 2019 and completed his PhD in Public Health in 2022. Dr. Mohamud’s academic pursuits extended to Turkey, where he earned a Master’s in Educational Management from the International Astrolabe University in 2021.
From 2013 to 2022, Dr. Mohamud served as the Registrar and Chief Admin at Somaville University, contributing significantly to policy development and organizational effectiveness. As a Lecturer from 2018 to 2020, he imparted knowledge in community health and child development.
Healthcare and Humanitarian Contributions
In 2015, Dr. Mohamud played a crucial role as a Medical Doctor for Yemen Refugees to Somalia, ensuring the well-being of refugees during their journey. His humanitarian efforts continued with the World Health Organization Benadir Polio Office from 2016 to 2018, where he trained and facilitated programs on polio eradication strategies.

In 2022, Dr. Mohamud assumed the role of Director of Planning and Development at the Association of Somali Universities (ASU), focusing on collaboration, research, and capacity building.
