Some football lawmakers devised a scheme to add a new card to the red and yellow cards, allowing players to be sent out for 10 minutes for dissent or cynical fouls.
Speaking in Scotland ahead of a meeting of the International Football Association Board in Loch Lomond, Infantino stated that FIFA is fully opposed to the notion and promised that there would be no blue cards at the “elite level.” Sin bins are now utilized at the grassroots level of football.
The 53-year-old stated that while they are open to new ideas and initiatives, they must safeguard “the essence and tradition” of the game.
